I studied fine art in Hong Kong. Thereafter I studied with Kei King Chung a teacher at the Central Academy of Fine Art, Peking. In 1988 I immigated to US with my family. Since then I have studied with American artists like Robert E. Wood and Milford Zornes. My watercolor was sold in a Pasadena gallery. In 1996 I started to paint with oil in order to further improve. Since then I have learned with oil-painters like Shuqiao Zhou, Sunny Apinchapong, Mark Kerckhoff, John Cosby and Ken Auster.
I enjoy being in nature; under the sun and in the fresh air. California is really the place for me. Everything is so colorful. I am motivated by the subject when I paint. Subjects I like give me feeling and energy. I live in LA County in a place nicely situated between inland mountains and deserts and the beaches on the coast. Everything is accessible. I do some teaching but paint most of the time.
